Program:
Greg Hayes presented an abbreviated version of the 16 life Safety Initiates with a “Minnesota Flavor”.
Elections:
Chief John Berg (Fridley) ended his term as president and Chief John Piper (Coon Rapids) ended his term as vice president.
Neil Wolfe (Hamel) was elected president and Assistant Chief Todd Seitz (Brooklyn Park) was elected as vice president.
Congratulations to Neil Wolf (Hamel). He was recently promoted to Assistant Fire Chief.
John Berg (Fridley) was appointed to represent the NSRMAA on the Minnesota State Fire Chiefs Association. He will take Jim Hanson’s place. Jim has served this position for many years. Thank you Jim! Chief Nyle Zikmund (SBM) will serve as the alternate.
Captain Mark Rosenblum (Golden Valley) will continue to serve as the representative for the Minnesota State Fire Department Association. There currently is no alternate.
The next meeting will be held at Oak Grove on April 30, 2013 at 7 pm
The NSRMAA is contracting with Tim Farmer to administer the web site. The current site was not being updated on a regular basis and had many functions that were “under construction” since administration was changed three years ago.
The current secretary treasurer was asked o step down and the Association will be looking for someone to fill that position at the next meeting.
